Portmahomack is a very pretty seaside town in Easter Ross. In fact it's where I live. Myself and a few small business owners, operating mainly within the tourism sector, decided to form was to become known as the Portmahomack Initiative Group to try and attract more visitors to the area by bringing all the relevant information relating to the village (such as accommodation, attractions, eateries, events etc.) under one online roof: portmahomack.org.
All the businesses contributed to the content and the cost of realising the project. The upshot is that the growing number of visitors to the site is reflected in actual visitors to the village, post-Covid. Result.
